How to use it
Press the buttons or type on your keyboard: digits, + − * /, brackets, %, ^ for powers. Enter calculates, Backspace deletes a character, Esc clears. The interim result appears below the expression even before you press “=”.
The calculator follows the order of operations: brackets first, then powers and roots, then multiplication and division, and finally addition and subtraction. That is why 2 + 2 × 2 = 6, not 8.
How percentages work
200 + 10% = 220 — 10% of the number is added to it.
200 − 10% = 180 — 10% of the number is subtracted from it.
200 × 10% = 20 — 10% of the number.
10% on its own = 0.1.

Why does 0.1 + 0.2 equal 0.3 here?
The calculator rounds the result to 12 significant digits to hide the computer’s binary arithmetic errors, which make some programs show 0.30000000000000004.
