MFC (multifunctional public services centre): what it is

The multifunctional centre «Мои документы» (My Documents) is an office where one counter accepts applications to many state bodies: SNILS, TIN, migration registration, apostille and much more.

There are MFCs in every region. Foreigners can usually arrange a notice of arrival, SNILS, TIN and sometimes an OMS policy there. Patents, RVPs and residence permits are more often processed at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (МВД, MVD) or special migration centres (for example, in Moscow, at Sakharovo). The range of services depends on the region.
