In Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus
Russia
You apply on the “Work in Russia” («Работа России») portal or through Gosuslugi under Law No. 565-FZ. For the first 3 months it is 75% of average earnings and for the next 3 months 60%, but within the minimum and maximum that the government sets every year. People who have not worked for a long time or were dismissed for a violation get the minimum; pre-retirement-age people get it for longer.
Kazakhstan
In Kazakhstan, when a person loses a job, the State Social Insurance Fund (ГФСС) awards a social payment for loss of work: up to 45% of lost income for 1–6 months depending on the record of participation in social insurance. You must first register as unemployed through egov.kz or enbek.kz.
Belarus
In Belarus the benefit is awarded by the body for labour, employment and social protection; it is a small fixed amount set by the Council of Ministers. It is usually paid for up to 13 weeks a year, and for some categories up to 26 weeks.
