Insurance pension: what it is

A pension paid by the Social Fund from employers' insurance contributions. It can be for old age, disability or loss of a breadwinner; its size depends on pension points.

In Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus

Russia

The rules are in Federal Law No. 400-FZ. You need the retirement age, 15 years of record and 30 points. The amount: points × 156.76 ₽ + a fixed payment of 9,584.69 ₽ (2026). From 1 January 2026 insurance pensions rose by 7.6%.

Kazakhstan

The closest equivalent in Kazakhstan is the solidarity pension : it is paid only to those with work record before 1998. Besides it there is the basic pension from the state and payments from savings in the ENPF (Unified Pension Savings Fund).

Belarus

In Belarus it is the labour old-age pension from the FSZN (Social Protection Fund). It is calculated from average earnings and record; at least 20 years of insurance record are required.
