Sewerage (wastewater disposal): what it is

The charge for draining used water into the sewer. Its volume is usually equal to the sum of cold and hot water used in the month.

In Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus

Russia

Sewerage is calculated from the sum of cold and hot water meter readings, or, without meters, from the sum of the standards. The tariff is approved by the region; the no-meter multiplier is, as a rule, not applied to sewerage.

Kazakhstan

In Kazakhstan, sewerage is paid under a separate supplier tariff; for example, in Almaty from 1 October 2026 it is 119.46 ₸/m³.

Belarus

In Belarus, sewerage is paid at the tariff approved for households, based on the volume of water used.
